Description

Bhedetar (~1,420m) is a famous hill station in Sunsari/Dhankuta districts known as the “Cooler of the East”. The name comes from Bheda (“sheep”) and Tar (“flat plateau”). It is celebrated for its sudden mountain fog, sweeping views over the Koshi plains, the popular Bhedetar Skywalk, and Charles Point viewpoint.

Namje (~1,500m) is a quiet, eco-friendly Magar community village located 2 km east of Bhedetar. Featured by CNN as an “unsung global spot,” it is famous for its sustainable homestays, traditional stone-paved paths, organic farms, and the sacred Atma Basuli (spirit-resting ground).

Itinerary

Day 01: Day 1: Chitwan to Bhedetar via Koshi Barrage & Dharan

Depart early from Chitwan along the East-West Highway. Pause at the massive Koshi Barrage over the Sapta Koshi River for fresh local fish snacks. Continue driving through Dharan and climb up the winding hills to Bhedetar. Check into your hotel, stroll along the main ridge, and enjoy the cool evening breeze.

Day 02: Day 2: Bhedetar Highlights, Namje Village Walk & Sunset Views

Start your morning at the Bhedetar View Tower (Charles Point) or the panoramic Bhedetar Skywalk for views over the surrounding valleys.
