Itinerary

You travel from Kathmandu through the winding hills along the Trishuli River into the flat plains of Sauraha. After checking in and getting settled, you take a peaceful evening walk through a local Tharu village, watch the sunset over the Rapti River, and end the night watching a traditional Tharu cultural dance performance.

This is your main wildlife adventure day. You start with a morning canoe ride on the Rapti River to see crocodiles and birds, followed by a guided walk through the forest trails. In the afternoon, you will board an open-top jeep that drives deep into the national park, giving you the best chance to spot one-horned rhinos, deer, monkeys, and possibly a Royal Bengal tiger.

You wake up early for a guided bird-watching walk along the riverbanks to see local wildlife waking up. After breakfast back at your resort, you pack your bags and take the return drive back to Kathmandu.
