After an early breakfast, you will board a heavy-duty 4x4 jeep to tackle the steep, rugged dirt tracks climbing into the remote hills. You will travel through dense rhododendron and pine forests, crossing mountain streams until the landscape opens up into the broad, flat grasslands of Dhorpatan Valley at 2,870 meters. Once settled into your teahouse, you spend the afternoon walking through the village, visiting the historic Tibetan refugee settlement, exploring local Buddhist monasteries, and checking out the reserve office museum to learn about the region's wildlife.

You wake up early to crisp, high-altitude air for a light morning hike toward Jaljala Pass (3,430 meters), a famous viewpoint offering sweeping panoramas of the snow-capped Dhaulagiri and Churen Himalayan ranges, along with potential sightings of rare wildlife like Blue Sheep and Himalayan Tahr. After soaking in the views and returning to the valley for lunch, you climb back into your 4x4 jeep for the scenic off-road descent back down the mountains to spend the night in Baglung or Pokhara.

After a hearty breakfast, you begin the final stretch of your trip, driving back along the highway with stopping points for lunch and photographs along the way. You will arrive back in Kathmandu by late afternoon, or complete your trip with a convenient drop-off at your hotel in Pokhara if you choose to extend your vacation there.
